Dr. Peter Jo received his Bachelor of Arts from the College of William and Mary and graduated Summa Cum Laude from the National University of Health Sciences with his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2002. In 2005, he completed a 3-year clinical sciences residency at the Southern California University of Health Sciences where he specialized in physical rehabilitation and pain management. Dr. Jo is one of only a few chiropractors in the country to have completed a full-time postgraduate clinical residency. As senior resident, he was appointed as Director of the University’s Honors Internship program and also acted as the attending chiropractic physician at California State University-Los Angeles Health Center treating students, staff and athletes. In addition to managing his patients, Dr. Jo provided clinical and academic instruction to D.C. candidates.
In 2005, Dr. Jo graduated from the Carrick Institute for Graduate Studies following completion of over 500 hours of training in clinical neurology. The
American Chiropractic Neurology Board awarded him
Diplomate status in 2006 certifying him as a chiropractic neurologist. Currently, there are only approximately 600 chiropractic neurologists worldwide and fewer than a dozen in the greater Seattle area.
In 2008, Dr. Jo earned his Masters Degree in Clinical Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport. He is a certified nutritionist (C.N.S) through the
American College of Nutrition. He also completed extensive studies in functional medicine through
The Institute for Functional Medicine.
Dr. Jo has been on the faculty of several community colleges, where he has taught anatomy and physiology to undergraduate students pursuing careers in the health sciences. He currently teaches at Bellevue Community College. His experience as a trusted educator allows him to effectively communicate with patients and other members of their health care team.
Dr. Jo lives in Bellevue with his wife and children.
